EMF Conference Presentation

On September 6-8, 2019 in Santa Cruz, California, over 200 medical professionals and leading scientific experts gathered for the 2019 EMF Conference, the first ever U.S. medical conference focused solely on the health effects of electromagnetic fields. I had the honor to speak at this inspiring event and share some of the best of what I have learned in my nine years living and working in the EMF field. Note: I was also a speaker at the 2021 EMF Conference.

EMF Conference Presentation:

Here is the video of my presentation. My hope is that the talk will help you better and more fully understand EMFs, and that it will serve as an expert resource you can share with your medical doctors and healthcare clinicians.

The conference organizers have generously made my talk public and free to distribute. If you are interested in watching the impressive list of other EMF Conference sessions and expert speakers, their presentations are available for purchase through Vimeo. Video purchases help make conferences like these financially sustainable so that more medical professionals can learn about the importance of EMF pollution. I have been invited to speak on EMFs at two other medical conferences this year, so the topic is definitely gaining traction.

While I was unable to attend every session at the conference, I did watch the following speakers, and I whole-heartedly recommend them. These videos are likely the most comprehensive library of EMF medical knowledge on the planet from some of the most respected people in the field.

Olle Johansson, PhD  (Intro video on Vimeo)
Dr. Erica Mallery-Blythe (Session also on YouTube)
Dr. Toril Jelter
Dr. Gunnar Heuser  (Intro video on Vimeo)

Magda Havas, PhD
Dr. Victoria Dunckley
Dr. Sharon Goldberg

    Excellent presentation Jeromy!

We will be sharing your video as well as your article on fiber optics with a group we just joined since moving last October. This group is called EHS Idaho. Check your inbox. 🙂

    Thanks! Robin

Thank you for kindly forwarding your inspirational video – you are quite famous on Twitter!

As always, a wonderful and informative presentation.

Liked that you located the microwave radiation from the wireless clock, by the way!

    Best wishes and keep well,

    Darryl and family

    Splendid informative and objective presentation.

Not often that you hear someone advocate better regulation as the real solution to this problem and that is to be applauded. The question there has to be, how do we overcome the influence of the telecomms industry to achieve that?

Thank you Mark. I appreciate the kudos on the talk.

In the US, it will take the public waking up and demanding that the regulatory bodies not be captured by the industry. I assume you have read this from the Harvard School of Ethics:

      https://ethics.harvard.edu/files/center-for-ethics/files/capturedagency_alster.pdf

It will take education and awareness, which probably won’t happen until many people are affected.

Agree. Like it or not, it takes a critical mass of suffering before real change can happen.

Just watched 2 of your videos. I’ve been seeing a heap of videos on 5G recently. It can be difficult to navigate through conflicting info. Your presentation appears genuine which I greatly appreciate. Would love to get your thoughts on it as your research continues. I was about to order EMF blocking garments and fabrics. This put that on pause. Very interested in meters.

Thank you for research on this and for sharing.

Thanks Tom. Grateful you are researching this topic.

In short, much of the 5G information on the internet is not factual.

As I mention in the video above, 5G is just a small portion of the overall EMF picture (but an overwhelming amount of the current internet chatter). For most families, it will not be huge problem unless they have a small cell installed next to their home. The other thing about the higher frequencies is that they don’t go through walls, trees or even air that well. So, most homes won’t have huge exposures, unless you still have wireless devices in your home.

Stick with the basics. Measure and remediate the four types of EMFs. This is the most important thing people can do when it comes to EMFs.

Here are the meters and some videos that will help you with this:

My book will also layout what you want to look for in a new home and what you can do in your current home:

Thanks so much for this ongoing invaluable information!

I was wondering if there’s a meter you recommend (or coming soon) that is capable of testing EMF from 5G?

I found the following on your website:
“None of the available consumer RF meters currently measure microwave frequencies above 10 GHz. 5G technology will primary use frequencies from 14 GHz to 100 GHz (millimeter wavelengths). Gigahertz Solutions will likely create multiple RF meters to measure 5G frequencies as this technology becomes more widely adopted.”

The recommended “Safe and Sound Pro II RF Meter” states:
“Will measure 5G cellular signals between (200MHz – 12GHz). Measures power densities up to 2,000,000 µW/m² and down to 0.001 µW/m²””

This reads to me that this meter is only capable of measuring a narrow 5G bandwidth.

    Thanks!

      Hi Matt,

      Thanks for asking.

5G frequencies range from low-frequency, long-range 600/700 MHz up to millimeter 100 GHz. For the time being, most of 5G will be in the lower range (600 MHz to 6.0 GHz). It’s an easier, more useful technology to implement. Some wireless companies are installing the higher millimeter wave (20-100 GHz), but that technology is less prevalent and not working that well in test markets. It is really difficult to get millimeter waves to pass through walls, trees or even air. The higher frequencies will likely be used for stadiums, concerts, Olympic venues, etc where a lot of people will be in one place and there isn’t a lot of obstruction.

The Safe and Sound Pro II is the best consumer meter available at this time for lower frequency 5G measurements (below 10 GHz). If you want to get an RF meter that measures the higher millimeter waves, you are going to spend over $15,000. There will eventually be more affordable RF meters for the 10 GHz to 40 GHz range, but that may take a year or two.

Here is information I have on the EMF meters I use:

      https://www.emfanalysis.com/recommended-emf-meters/

How to Use Your EMF Meters: https://youtu.be/_aVINxa2ERA

As I mention in my talk above, 5G is really a small piece of the overall EMF picture. It is also not likely to be the primary EMF issue for most people. Don’t forget the low frequency magnetic & electrics fields, EMI/dirty electricity, and, of course, the 2G/3G/4G/WiFi and Bluetooth that we know are not healthy.

      Hope this helps,

      Jeromy

This video covers pretty much all areas (though just lightly) I need to know about the the subject. Well put together.

One question: I’ve ADHD, and so does a friend of mine. Both of us are hypersensitive to radiation. So, I’m wondering is there connection? (You mentioned only OCD, which unlike ADHD isn’t inborn.)

      Hi Kumara,

Thanks for the kudos on the talk. It’s the best I could sum things up in close to 20 minutes.

As you know, there are many details beyond what I spoke.

As for ADHD, this is the first time I have heard of that related to electrical sensitivity (in nine years in the field). Many people with neurological conditions (from car accidents, Lyme disease, Tourette Syndrome, Parkinson’s disease, etc.) have some hypersensitivities. It likely comes from a damaged or hypersensitive neurological system. If ADHD works similarly, perhaps that can indeed lead to some electrical sensitivity.

      Keep in touch,

      Jeromy

Wondering about newer cars having satellite radio, navigation system, park-assist, backup camera, and different options to charge phone, and plug-ins. How harmful are these? Which may be most harmful/to be avoided? Which ones can you disconnect? Which ones can’t be disconnected?

      Hi Cynthia,

Most of these things (GPS, satellite radio, etc) are not emitters of RF. They simply receive signals and are not problem.

For the rest, you always want to measure with good meters. Read/watch these:
