Watch how the mainstream media reacts to the news that a French woman has been granted disability income due in part to her electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) condition. I find it interesting that they are even bringing attention to this controversial issue, which is affecting an increasing number of people around the world. With numerous news sources reporting on this case (here is a report from the BBC), perhaps they thought mockery was the best way to downplay this important story. Then again, it could just be plain ignorance. Note how she doesn’t mention the most common EHS symptoms – headaches and insomnia, which are becoming common throughout society.
EHS is getting a lot more press lately. This excellent article titled “Brain on Fire” was published in the top Australian weekend magazine last week. The article explains what EHS sufferers in Australia are experiencing.
Hopefully more press in the coming years will lead to greater public awareness and we will move beyond the mockery stage.
